The Brigittenauer Bad – One more swimming pool for the Steiner Schwimming School
Brigittenauer Bad is an indoor pool of the city of Vienna located in the 20th district. It opened in 1983 and was originally planned to be an outdoor pool. Since there was not enough space, the the swimming pool was then only expanded to include a lawn.
Even if the look is rather old-fashioned, this pool offers more than one expects when looking at it from the outside. There is a swimming pool for lap swimming, a learning pool, a pool for seniors and a baby pool. The range of saunas is also impressive: There is a Finnish sauna, a bio-block sauna, an infrared cabin and a steam chamber.
You can relax on the sunbathing lawn, and there are also ping pong tables, a children’s playground and a restaurant.
The Brigittenauer Bad is currently our replacement location for some of those swimming courses that we are currently not allowed to hold in other pools due to the pandemic requirements. These include:
- Swimming courses for children and adolescents, both multi-week swimming courses and intensive week-long swimming courses, for all ages and skill levels
- Group swimming lessons for kindergardens, schools and clubs

Meeting point at the start of the swimming course:
If you have booked a swimming course in Brigittenauer Bad with us, the meeting point is approx. 10-15 minutes before the start of the course at the ticket desk of the pool. A member of our swimming school team will greet you and accompany you to the pool.
