The Wiener Stadthallenbad – Where it all began
The Wiener Stadthallenbad is the birthplace of the Steiner Swimming School. This is where the multiple state champion Andrea Steiner started to run swimming courses for young and old in 1980. At that time, however, the conditions in the Stadthalle were not as ideal as they are today:
Today Peter Steiner leads the Steiner Swimming School. We have our own premises in the large swimming pool right next to the lifeguards’ office were we store swimming aids, swimming boards and other equipment that we need for our professional swimming lessons. Our children’s wetsuits, which we offer free of charge in our children’s swimming courses, also have their own place here. In addition, you can also buy the most important swimming equipment from us, in case you have forgotten something when visiting the Stadthalle’s indoor swimming pool.
Our swimming courses in the famous Wiener Stadthallenbad
The Wiener Stadthallenbad, which is a listed building, is still our most important swimming course venue after 40 years of running the swimming school. We offer a wide range of swimming courses:
- Swimming courses for children and adolescents, both multi-week swimming courses and intensive week-long swimming courses, for all ages and skill levels
- Swimming courses for adults, both for beginners and advanced students of all ages
- Perfection swimming courses for adults, also training for triathlon and other swimming competitions
- Group swimming lessons for kindergardens, schools and clubs
- Individual swimming lessons with a swim teacher of your choice

Meeting point at the start of the swimming course:
If you have booked a swimming course in the Stadthallenbad with us, first walk past the diving towers in the swimming pool. The meeting point for all our swimming courses is directly behind the starting blocks at the front of the pool, in front of our small shop.
