TV reports about our swimming lessons opening up after COVID-19
Our swimming lessons for children had to be canceled over the last few months. Now ORF and derStandard have taken the opportunity to ask us how we assess the situation as a swimming school.
Yes, there are more non-swimmers than usual. But we can do it!
The COVID pandemic is not over yet, but we too have the hope that things will slowly pick up again. Recently, both ORF and derStandard accompanied us to our swimming courses in the Amalienbad.
Many children have not had the opportunity to learn to swim in the past year: sometimes there was no school and therefore no swimming lessons in schools. Also, the public swimming pools were for the most part closed – and even now some pools still are partially closed In addition, the COVID-19 restrictions have made our lives even more complicated. For our children, this situation has made learning to swim almost impossible.
Yes, there are more non-swimmers than usual. And yes, the demand for our swimming courses is currently very high. Nevertheless, as a swimming school, we do not think there is “a lost generation”!
The easing of COVID-19 restrictions is letting us slowly start to offer courses again. We are working closely with the City of Vienna in order to be able to offer more and more swimming lessons for children and adults in various pools in Vienna in the summer of 2021. But we have to ask for your understanding that we still have to be careful and that the quality of teaching and, above all, the safety of our children is most important. Nevertheless, together we can make up for the gap!
